First Legion and DNV AS, India jointly organized an Information Security Workshop based on HIMIS in Chennai, India on July 25, 2008. The workshop was titled “Protecting Business Secrets: What your employees must know”. The workshop was a huge success and had participants from Wipro, InfoSys BPR, Cognizant, Sify, some of the leading corporate organizations in India.
The participant feedback were as follows,
“Your training on “protecting business secrets” provided new thoughts and insights into Human side of Information security. The training showed us that our biggest assets (people) are the weakest link in Information security management. The work shop showed that effectiveness of ISMS has Humans as common denominator. The inputs and knowledge shared during the training will surely help organizations to manage information better and safer. Congrats to you and the team once again for an impressive training.”
“TPP: Technology, Process and People. In most companies, Technology and Processes are cent percent compliant; It is the people or human factor, which is the weakest link. To thwart this vulnerable factor, let us act …………… now, or never. Excellent and interactive workshop by Mr. Anup (First Legion) & Mr. Venkatapathy (DNV), with practical day-to-day case studies and incidents. Hats off to them.”

The conformance assessment model shall be developed by DNV AS, India to keep the implementation of HIMIS independent of the verification process. This shall be of huge value to customers that require an independent verification of HIMIS implementation.
